It has been six weeks since Robin Le Normand suffered a traumatic brain injury in the final stages of the Madrid derby. Since then, Atletico Madrid have been without his services, as they take a very cautious approach with his recovery, although that should soon be coming to an end.
Le Normand has been doing individual training for the last few weeks, but he has not been allowed to go anything with his teammates until Atleti’s medical staff give the all-clear. According to Marca, that will happen during the international break, meaning that he can make his return to action later in November.
🚨🇪🇸 JUST IN: Robin Le Normand is expected to be back in the team after the international break. There is a possibility of wearing a headgear, and his comeback will be carefully timed, ensuring his health and strength for the physical demands of his role.@marca pic.twitter.com/uTiSlPym9g

However, Atleti still intend to take things slow with Le Normand, and there will be absolutely no risks taken. He may also return using headgear for extra protection.
Le Normand has been a huge miss for Atletico Madrid, and their defensive performances have been especially poor without him being available. They’ll be desperate to have him back sooner rather than later, but they will need to maintain patience.
