Villarreal are currently on the lookout for a new striker, having agreed to sell Alexander Sorloth to Atletico Madrid. A deal will not be sanctioned until a replacement is sorted, which is why the Yellow Submarine will be moving with haste in the coming days.

One player that Villarreal have their eye on is Youssoufa Moukoko. The teenager will be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, and according to Marca, one of his possible destination is La Ceramica.
Moukoko is also attracting interest from Real Betis, although a move to Villarreal could be more favourable in the sense that he would be a regular starter – a role that he seeks to have at his new club.
It’s clear that Sorloth and Moukoko have very different profiles, so it would be a very curious deal if Villarreal were to sign the latter. It would be a very smart signing at least, given the potential that the young German attacker has, although another striker may also be required as an extra reinforcement.
