Atletico Madrid are set to undergo major surgery to their squad this summer, and they will look to lighten their wage bill before reinvesting that money in new players. Several exits are all but confirmed, but there are a number that will depend on offers.
Mario Hermoso will leave the club on a free, while Stefan Savic and Caglar Soyuncu will also seek moves, the latter likely to Fenerbahce, where he is currently on loan. Javi Galan is also keen to continue at Real Sociedad, and he will leave, but could be used as a makeweight in another deal. Gabriel Paulista’s loan will end from Valencia, and despite becoming a free agent this summer, will not be offered a deal by Los Rojiblancos.
Thomas Lemar, who is finally back to fitness, and Saul Niguez, who have three and two years on their contracts, will also be moved on if possible, their salaries outweighing their contributions. Meanwhile Joao Felix will also be farmed out if at all possible, on the best deal that they can get, be it loan or transfer.

Cadena SER also say that offers will be considered for Memphis Depay and Alvaro Morata, the latter who has a €15m release clause in his deal. Los Colchoneros are hoping to keep Angel Correa, although he could ask to leave again.
With a summer of change on the horizon, it could see a major shift in the Atletico project, the first since the exit of Antoine Griezmann and the signing of Joao Felix for a club record fee. How much money they have to carry out the rebuild remains to be seen.
