UEFA have released their Euro 2024 Team of the Tournament, with Spain dominating the line-up, six of the players coming from La Roja. Yet there will certainly be some that would argue their case to be in a team that has just five different nationalities represented.

After the final against England, Manchester City’s Rodri Hernandez was named player of the tournament, Dani Olmo given the top scorer award, and Lamine Yamal awarded young player of the tournament. UEFA also announced on Tuesday that Lamine Yamal’s effort against France had been chosen as goal of the tournament.
All three were included, and were joined by Marc Cucurella at left-back, and Fabian Ruiz in midfield and Nico Williams up front.

Jamal Musiala (Germany), Manuel Akanji (Switzerland), Kyle Walker (England), Mike Maignan and William Saliba of France were also represented. While understandable given that six players came from one team, only two players from the side of the draw which had England make the final were included.
A special tournament concluded ✨

Spain goalkeeper Unai Simon may protest that he made a number of crucial saves, and Dani Carvajal was presented to Spanish crowds in Madrid as the ‘best right-back in the world’ by captain Alvaro Morata. There is no argument that Spain dominated the tournament from start to finish.
