After two wins in three, Sevilla were brought back down to earth on Sunday as they were comprehensively beaten by Barcelona at the Estadi Olimpic. To make matters worse, they also lost Chidera Ejuke in the first half, as he pulled up with a hamstring injury.
As it turns out, it is a very serious problem for Ejuke. Sevilla have already announced that the Nigerian winger suffered a high-grade tear, and according to Relevo, he will be out of action for at least three months.

Currently, Sevilla are to proceed with conservative treatment, which would allow Ejuke to remain in January. However, surgery may still be required, and if so, his absence will be extended by an additional month or two.
Ejuke has made a significant impact since arriving at the Ramon Sanchez-Pizjuan during the summer. He’s been a regular starter for Sevilla most weeks, although they will now have to do without him for some time.
