Saudi Pro League new boys Al-Qadsiah have already made a splash with the signing of Nacho Fernandez, and it appears they are not done looking at the Spanish market, with Michel in charge. The latest to catch their eye is Villarreal winger Ilias Akhomach.
The 20-year-old had a strong first season at Villarreal arriving from Barcelona, registering nine goal contributions in 39 games. Villarreal have agreed a €50m release clause with Ilias, and have him under contract until 2026. So far there have been contacts between the two clubs, but there is no news on price. Relevo say the deal is likely to advance slowly, if Ilias is willing to go.
Another outgoing could be Johan Mojica. After spending last season on loan at Osasuna, Jagoba Arrasate has asked RCD Mallorca to bring the Colombian with him. The same outlet report that a deal is close.
Akhomach has plenty of potential and risks being on the end of a Toni Kroos comment if he does move. However his situation is different to that of Gabri Veiga, with less interest from big teams currently, and the chance at a contract of a lifetime.
