In the last week, Liverpool have been increasingly linked with a move for Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo. The Reds are in the market for a new right winger, and the Japanese international is one of the best young players in the world in that position.
Kubo has a €60m release clause in his La Real contract, and the only way he would leave is if this was activated. Liverpool could do so, but for now, they have not. Jokin Aperribay, president of the Basque giants, has confirmed that no clubs have approached them in regards to Kubo, as per MD.
“There is no issue. There are no negotiations with any club. We’re in the market, anything can happen, but Take is very happy here and he’s going to continue. We love him very much, let’s hope he stays at La Real forever.”
Real Sociedad are already set to lose Robin Le Normand and Mikel Merino this summer, and they will be desperate to avoid anymore high-profile departures between now and the closing of the transfer window.
