Alaves have already lost multiple key players in the last few weeks. Rafa Marin and Samu Omorodion both returned from their loan spells at Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid respectively, while Luis Rioja is edging closer to joining Valencia. They could be about to lose another important midfielder: Antonio Blanco.
According to reports in Italy, as covered by MD, Fiorentina are “keenly interested” in Blanco, who joined Alaves on a permanent basis from Real Madrid last summer. An enquiry has already been received by the Vitoria-based side.
The report from MD states that Alaves do not want to lose Blanco, and as such, they have set a minimum asking price of €15m. Fiorentina are currently unwilling to reach this figure, which makes a deal unlikely.
Real Madrid would certainly welcome Alaves selling Blanco, given that they have a 50% sell-on clause from the deal last summer. If €15m were to be paid, which seems unlikely, then Los Blancos would bank a very nice €7.5m.
