Real Madrid will have no shortage of depth up front in the coming seasons, and Brahim Diaz is set to be one of those players that will have to raise their game for more minutes, following the arrival of Endrick Felipe and Kylian Mbappe this summer. The Moroccan attacker is likely to have face an obstacle in competing for his place two campaigns down the line, following the delay of the African Cup of Nations.
Since deciding to play for Morocco, Brahim has been a regular for the Atlas Lions under Walid Regragui, and if he is fit, then he will no doubt be a key part of their next African Cup of Nations effort. That was due to be next summer in 2025, but CAF have announced that the tournament will be delayed until January of 2026, at the usual time of the tournament, as per Diario AS.
The tournament is set to be held in Morocco, and Brahim will miss at least a month of action in the 2025-26 season, but could be gone for nearly two months if they go all the way. Los Blancos will not be thinking that far ahead, but careers at the club have turned on less in the past.
