Nowadays, all of the top clubs in Europe have cast their net over the entire world in their search for promising young players. Real Madrid and Barcelona are two of the sides that are most active, and in recent weeks, they have both identified a very exciting prospect in Eastern Europe.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Diario AS), Real Madrid and Barcelona are both attentive to the situation of Saba Kharebashvili, who has already established himself as a starter for Georgian champions Dinamo Tbilisi at the age of 16.
La Liga’s big two could have an advantage over the rest in the race to sign Kharebashvili, as Dinamo Tbilisi have strengthened their ties in Spain over the last few years. They have also established an office in Barcelona, which could make things even more likely for the Catalan giants.
Barcelona have been exploring the prospect of signing a new left-back in 2025, and someone like Kharebashvili could be fast-tracked to the first team depending on performances. Real Madrid also need left-back quality, even with the expected arrival of Alphonso Davies from Bayern Munich.
