“He broke my nose” – Real Betis star reveals previous clash with Barcelona loanee Vitor Roque

It was a busy summer for Real Betis, and on Monday, they unveiled one of their nine signings: Natan. The Brazilian defender joined on a season-long loan from Napoli, and the deal could be made permanent next summer if decided upon by club bosses at Los Verdiblancos.

During his unveiling, Natan revealed a story involving himself and fellow new signing Vitor Roque, who arrived – also on loan – from Barcelona last month. As per Diario AS, he explained that the pair had clashed during their time in Brazil, and he joked about getting “revenge” whilst at Betis.

“I have already played against him in Brazil, we know each other well. He broke my nose in a game and I have several training sessions to give it back to him. No jokes, I spoke to Vitor and told him that this is a family. He has proven it.”

Natan and Roque should be important players for Betis this season. Manuel Pellegrini certainly has a strong squad at his disposal, especially after the return of Giovani Lo Celso to Andalusian shores.
