Rangers forward expected to push for La Liga move this summer

Back in the summer of 2020, Wolves infamously paid €40m to sign then-teenager Fabio Silva from Porto. Now aged 21, the Portuguese forward has failed to deliver anywhere near the potential he had promised, although there have been flashes during his current loan spell at Scottish side Rangers, who knocked Real Betis out of the Europa League earlier this season.

Silva won’t remain at the Glasgow-based side for next season, with the decision having already been made that he will return to Wolves in the summer. However, he is not expected to stay there, and according to Relevo, he is keen to make a move to La Liga for the 2024-25 campaign, as his main goal is to play in Spain.

Las Palmas showed interest in Silva last summer, before Wolves closed the door on a departure at that time. They could re-ignite their interest during the upcoming transfer window, although it’s too soon to say whether that will be the case.
