Villarreal striker Alexander Sorloth could be on his way out of the club in the coming weeks.
The Norwegian international enjoyed a superb first season in Castellon after joining from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.
Sorloth found a home at Villarreal, following loan spells at Gent, Trabzonspor and Real Sociedad, with 12 La Liga goals at the latter in 2022/23.
However, he opted for Villarreal over La Real last summer, and his decision was backed up 23 league goals in 2023/24.
That figure put him second in the Pichichi Trophy list, behind winner Artem Dovbyk by one goal, as Villarreal finished 8th.
Serie A side AS Roma are rumoured to be tracking him ahead of a possible bid with Villarreal demanding around €35m.
That is above the Italian side’s price ceiling, with West Ham United now joining the race as per Diario AS.
The Hammers can afford that and they could even stretch to his full €38m release clause.
