Real Madrid have finalised their sixth departure of the summer. After the exits of Toni Kroos, Nacho Fernandez, Alex Jimenez, Marvin Park and Joselu Mato, the sale of Rafa Marin to Napoli has now been completed.

22-year-old Marin had a promising loan spell at Alaves last season, and he was projected to be in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for pre-season. However, Napoli’s offer – worth a reported €12m – was too good to turn down, and he has now headed for Naples, having failed to make a single first team appearance for Los Blancos.
As part of the deal with Napoli, Real Madrid do retain a progressive buy-back clause for Marin. It’s believed that it comes into effect in 2026, and would be worth €25m. If not triggered, it would increase to €35m the following summer.
All in all, it’s a very good deal for Real Madrid. They can now put these funds towards Leny Yoro, their current top target.
