Malaga ended a run of four consecutive defeats but remain bottom of La Liga after Monday’s 1-1 draw at Eibar.
The visitors were in front at half-time through Youssef En-Nesyri's composed finish, but Kike Garcia levelled with a neat first-time strike after 76 minutes.
Malaga substitute Zdravko Kuzmanovic then saw red in stoppage time for his second dismissal of the campaign.
Early chances were exchanged, before En-Nesyri capitalised on Ander Capa’s wayward pass to race through on goal and slot past goalkeeper Marko Dmitrovic.
With 14 minutes remaining, however, Kike fired home at the near post from substitute Bebe’s delivery to level the game, followed by Kuzmanovic’s late red after he picked up two cautions in the space of a minute.
