Barcelona were heavily linked with Federico Chiesa last week, with the Juventus winger set to leave Turin before the end of the transfer window. It looks like all roads are leading to Anfield though.
It was reported on Monday that Liverpool had gotten in touch with Juventus to enquire about the terms of a possible deal. Chiesa, for his part, was keen on a move to Barcelona, but would also be delighted to join Liverpool. Now Fabrizio Romano has reported that Chiesa has reached an agreement on personal terms with the Reds, which would see him sign a four-year deal.

Liverpool are now in talks with Juventus for Chiesa. Previously it has been reported that a deal for Chiesa could be done for around €15m. The 26-year-old’s salary is likely to be around €4-5m per year, and La Vecchia Signora are keen to sell him in the next two days, as they risk losing him for free next summer, being as he is in the last year of his deal.
Prior reports in Barcelona had noted that they were confident that Chiesa would wait for their offer, while others said he would give the Blaugrana 24 hours to make one. Their capacity to do so hinges on a new sponsorship deal with Nike going through, but there is no guarantee on when that will happen. It seems they will miss out on Chiesa.
