Sunday’s La Liga action featured five games on a busy schedule with the relegation picture beginning to take shape.
Osasuna 0-2 Real Betis
Real Betis end the weekend still firmly in the race for European qualification as they secured a 2-0 win away at Osasuna.
The hosts played the majority of the game with ten players, following Jon Moncayola’s red card, and Los Verdiblancos took full advantage.
Ayoze Perez squeezed home the opener, just before the break, and Pablo Fornals doubled their advantage in first half stoppage time.

Victory in Pamplona puts Real Betis five points clear in seventh spot as they close in on at least UEFA Europa Conference League football next season.
Celta Vigo 3-2 Villarreal
Celta Vigo secured a timely victory at home to Villarreal as the Galicians look to avoid a late relegation scrap.
With four games left to play, they are now eight points above the drop zone, as survival emerges on the horizon in Vigo.
Villarreal’s chances were dented by an early red card but, the contest was not settled for Celta until the dying stages, as Anastasios Douvikas come off the bench to net the winner.

Rayo are level on points with Celta, ahead of the run in, but they will likely need at least one more win to wrap up their top flight continuity.
Sevilla 3-0 Granada
Sevilla are amongst a clutch of teams floating in mid-table and they effectively confirmed Granada’s relegation with a 3-0 derby win.
The hosts were in dominant mood from the off, as Marcus Acuna nodded them in front, and Youssef En-Nesyri tapped home a second after the break.

Granada host champions Real Madrid next weekend and they need to win all four of their remaining matches to stand a mathematical chance of staying up.
