Barcelona centre-back Mikayil Faye is one of three players the club are trying to move on this week as they look to raise funds to register players. They are holding out for at least €15m for the 20-year-old Senegal international.
Rennes are so far the side that has offered the most, with a reported €10-11m offer on the table, and a 20-25% sell-on fee available. Sport say that Inter have cooled their interest in Faye, deciding to pursue the more economic Tomas Palacios, as they did not want to meet Barcelona’s demands. It is looking increasingly unlikely that any of Faye’s suitors will reach €15m without variables.
Contract negotiations with De Jong have stalled completely. While it's not yet certain that this is his intention, it increasingly seems like he plans to leave Barcelona as a free agent in 2026. @fansjavimiguel

The Catalan paper also carry a report from Takvim in Turkey, which claims that Besiktas have bid €10m for Faye too. Faye is well-liked by Sporting Director Deco at Barcelona, but he is resigned to selling him, due to their abundance of central defenders. Besiktas had looked at Clement Lenglet too, but he turned the Turkish giants down, as he holds out for a move to Atletico.
Faye was signed for just €2m from Croatian side NK Kustosija last summer as something of an unknown quantity, but now a fully fledged international, they are set to make a healty profit on him. That said the lack of suitors willing to put big money on the table for Faye suggests that most sides feel he is not quite ready for the top level just yet.
Dont worry smegmalona fans.
Big daddy laPorka will just borrow some more money.
