Khvicha Kvaratskhelia will be a marked man as Spain take on Georgia in the Euro 2024 last 16 on June 30.
La Roja stormed through Group B as the only team in the tournament to secure maximum points in the group stages.
However, they will face a test against a Georgia side who beat Portugal to book their knockout spot in Germany.
Spain have been knocked out at this stage in three of their last four major tournament appearances either side of reaching the semi finals of Euro 2020.
Kvaratskhelia scored his first goal of Euro 2024 against Portugal and he will be a key threat to Spain.
Ahead of their showdown in Cologne, Valencia goal keeper Giorgi Mamardashvili claimed teammate Kvaratskhelia is better than anything Spain have to offer.
“I think it’s better than all of Spain’s players”, as per quotes from Marca.
Mamardashvili’s comments will serve as extra motivation for Spain with the La Roja players also able to call on the ten goals they scored past him in qualifying.
