Barcelona are trying to close multiple departures before the closing of the summer transfer window. Ilkay Gundogan and Vitor Roque will be the next players to go, joining Manchester City (free transfer) and Real Betis (loan) respectively. The expectation is that Mikayil Faye will also be heading for the exit soon in the coming days.
Faye has no place in Hansi Flick’s plans for the coming season, and because he has value, Barcelona have decided that he will be sold. They’ve already received three offers for the young defender’s services, and it will be his decision as to where he plays his football from September onwards.
As per MD, Barcelona have demanded that a €40m buy-back clause be included in the deal, worth €15m, for Faye. This would be active for the next two years, thus ending at the conclusion of the 2026 summer transfer window.
Barcelona want to include a buy-back option worth 40 million euros in a deal for Mikayil Faye. @RogerTorello

Inter Milan were one of the teams keen on Faye, but these demands saw them drop out of the race. There’s no doubt that Barcelona are desperate to sell, but the sale must happen on their terms.
