Barcelona defender Mikayil Faye looks to be on his way out of the Catalan club just 12 months after signing for €1.5m from NK Kustosija in Croatia. The 20-year-old Senegalese international will have a choice of options for his next step.
After offers from Lille and Rennes were revealed in recent days, amounting to €10m plus 20-25% of a future sale, PSV Eindhoven are the third side that are known to have submitted a bid to Barcelona. MD say that he will likely be sold by Barcelona for €11m, but they will retain a buyback clause. They will leave the decision on where to go up to Faye, although obviously they would have needed his green light to accept any of the offers anyway.

Faye is one of eight central defenders currently on the books at Barcelona, with Clement Lenglet also expected to depart before the end of the transfer window. Faye performed well for Barca Atletic last season, and it does seem as though the Blaugrana rate him, but the abundance of players in his position combined with the financial situation appear to have made up Barcelona’s minds.
