Barcelona are aiming for three Champions League victories in a row on Wednesday. The Catalans, who convincingly defeated Bayern Munich 4-1 last time out in the competition, take on Red Star Belgrade in their fourth league phase fixture.

Barcelona are heavy favourites to secure another victory, although their opponents will make it very difficult as European football veterans. Hansi Flick expects a tough task, as he told the media on Tuesday (via MD).

“We know it will be a difficult game tomorrow, because they are a good team and have fast strikers. The goal is to win.”

Flick also spoke on Gavi, who took another step forward in his recovery from a long-term knee injury by playing more minutes for Barcelona against Espanyol on Sunday.

“I spoke with him and we have decided to go step by step. He will add minutes with the passage of time and how the games go. Against Espanyol he played for a while and he is doing very well in training. He gives us more ball control.”
