On Saturday, Atletico Madrid finalised the signing of Robin Le Normand, who joins from Real Sociedad. He will be the first or two centre-backs to arrive at the Metropolitano this summer, and the second could be coming soon.
It’s been reported that Atleti have submitted a new offer for David Hancko, their top target for the left-sided position in central defence. The 26-year-old is pushing hard to join Diego Simeone’s squad, and according to Marca, club officials believe that a deal could be wrapped up by the end of next week.

Hancko’s desire to join Atleti has contributed massively during negotiations with Feyenoord, and there is an expectation that an agreement will be reached in the next few days. Simeone wants the Slovakian international in his squad by next Sunday, when they jet off to Hong Kong for the next part of their pre-season schedule.
Hancko would be a fantastic replacement for Mario Hermoso, whom he would be replacing in Simeone’s Atletico Madrid squad. He’s tailor-made for that left-sided centre-back position, and barring any last minute hiccups, a deal should be completed soon.
