Atletico Madrid have managed to sell Joao Felix this summer, one of their main tasks in the transfer window this year, after a €60m move to Chelsea was confirmed. That only became possible after Samu Omorodion‘s switch to Stamford Bridge collapsed though, and it has left the 20-year-old at a loose end.
There is nothing new on Hancko. Matteo says that Atleti are pushing and Ruben says that Atleti made an offer. The player is not ‘one step away’ as some of you are reading. Wait for a reliable journalist to confirm it.

As per Diario AS, Los Colchoneros are desperate to move Omorodion on, with the player now feeling he has no place at Atletico. It would also fund their pursuit of David Hancko or Piero Hincapie for their defence. As such Atletico have set a €35m minimum price tag on Omorodion’s head, say El Chiringuito. If they cannot secure a deal for Omorodion, then Atletico will look at more economic alternatives in defence, such as Barcelona’s Clement Lenglet or Omar Alderete of Getafe.

Omorodion has been linked to Bayer Leverkusen previously, although they are not the only Bundesliga side interested. If they cannot secure a sale, various La Liga sides have shown interest in a loan move, one of them being Real Sociedad. So far it does not look as if an offer of that amount is imminent though.
