Atletico Madrid are ready to roll the dice and sign Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet on loan for the 2024/25 season.
Los Rojiblancos have been working a multiple deals to bolster their defence before the La Liga transfer window closes on August 30.
Feyenoord star David Hancko is the No.1 target, but the Dutch side are demanding a fee outside of Atletico Madrid’s range, with the Spanish giants unwilling to match their valuation.
Lenglet has emerged as a Plan B option with his future in Barcelona uncertain as the Catalans look to trim their squad.
Transfer expert Matteo Moretto offered an update in Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing with an indication of Lenglet heading to the capital.

As per the latest update from Moretto, a deal for Lenglet is an easier option than the ongoing battle for Hancko, and personal terms have already been agreed.
The deal will include a purchase clause at the end of the campaign with the clubs negotiating on whether it will be mandatory.
