RB Leipzig and Spain star Dani Olmo did everything necessary at Euro 2024 to ensure that he was not overlooked, and despite his release clause of €60m expiring, a move is still being suggested. Olmo was linked to Atletico Madrid last week, but that is unlikely to be his destination.

As per Matteo Moretto, speaking to Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing, it is highly unlikely that Olmo will end up at Atletico this summer. He does mention interest from Bayern Munich, where he has ‘many admirers’, and Barcelona, who hold him in high regard. However Moretto notes that with Barcelona focusing all of their efforts on Nico Williams currently, they are not in advanced talks for the 26-year-old. Bayern are believed to be interested in Xavi Simons, but the Bavarian giants ‘could be his next destination’.

Manchester City have also been linked with the platymaker, but the line on the Daily Briefing has been that Pep Guardiola’s side are not in talks for him either. Olmo recently told the press that his agent ‘knows what he wants to do’, but did not give any more away. He certainly hasn’t cooled rumours that he could be on the move though.
